Horizon Continental Technology Will Join Hands with iMotion to Produce Urban NOA Lite
Recently, Horizon Continental Technology has officially reached a cooperation agreement with iMotion, a leading provider of mass-produced autonomous driving solutions in the industry. The first cooperation project will be based on Horizon Journey® 6 to develope urban NOA lite. This product has been designated by a leading domestic OEM and will achieve mass production by 2025. Starting from this cooperation, Horizon Continental Technology and iMotion will join forces in the future to jointly provide industry-leading intelligent driving products for OEM customers.
Facing urban scenarios, the scene understanding and interactive game tasks of intelligent driving systems are more arduous and complex. At the same time, the increase in the number and types of sensors, as well as the increase in computing tasks, also means a larger bandwidth data stream and lower transmission latency requirements. Intelligent driving systems need to have smarter 'brains' and more stable, reliable, and efficient 'working environments'.
To create urban NOA lite, Horizon Continental Technology has partnered with iMotion to comprehensively optimize all aspects of the system. At the function and algorithm level, the application of transformer architecture and game interaction models effectively ensures environmental perception and interaction capabilities, and enhances the ceiling of system capabilities. At the bottom software layer, a reasonable architecture design efficiently and comprehensively allocates computing, transmission, and storage resources to promote smooth system operation. At the hardware level, through fully validated design and production solutions, high-performance computing units are reliably integrated into vehicles with harsh operating conditions and long lifespans, providing a hardware environment foundation with greater compatibility, stability, and signal integrity for upper level systems. Horizon Continental Technology will collaborate efficiently with iMotion to provide high-quality products and services to OEM customers, offering users a safe, comfortable, and convenient intelligent driving experience.
Li Biao, CEO of Horizon Continental Technology:
'2025 will be a watershed year for the intelligence of China's automotive industry, and urban NOA will enter a competitive window period to bridge the gap. Horizon Continental Technology will collaborate with iMotion to jointly bring more competitive intelligent driving products to OEM customers, accelerate the development and popularization of intelligence in the automotive industry, and enable more people to enjoy the safety, comfort, and convenience brought by intelligent driving.'
Song Yang, Founder and Chairman of iMotion:
Intelligent driving is entering the deep waters of scenarios and technology. Currently, the functions of intelligent driving in urban and highways are still in the stage of 'usable' and 'easy to use', and have not yet reached the level of 'user love'. The cooperation between iMotion and Horizon Continental Technology this time will be based on the high-frequency usage scenarios of urban intelligent driving, and through technological upgrading and deep polishing, create urban NOA lite that consumers indispensable.
iMotion has long been dedicated to the mass production and implementation of autonomous driving, providing fully self-developed solutions that integrate software and hardware, as well as driving and parking. As of the first half of 2024, the cumulative shipment has exceeded 310K units, and the products and technologies have been fully validated during the mass production process and continuously iterated to adapt to new intelligent driving scenarios.
Horizon Continental Technology is a joint venture between Continental Group and Horizon Robotics, integrating the unique resources and advantages of the two parent companies, and committed to becoming a leading global supplier of intelligent driving systems. In China for Global, Horizon Continental Technology adheres to the concept of being based in China and serving global customers, and collaborates with its parent company to expand globally.
